School Outings and Non-Profit Fundraisers
School Outings
School groups of all ages can come to Worthington Pond Farm & Gardens for Environmental Education for school outings, events, or field trips.
The Beaver Pond and the habitat around the pond is an ecosystem unto itself. Students can learn all about beavers, while seeing the original dam, their lodges, and perhaps get a glimpse of the beavers themselves. They can discover how the creation of a beaver pond brings all sorts of aquatic and plant life to the area, which brings birds and animals to feed and live around the pond.
Other areas on the property worthy of exploration would be woodlands and pasture. Students can observe and study plant and tree species, insects, reptiles, wildlife tracks, birds and rock formations. For a more in depth learning session, a rustic outdoor classroom can be utilized.
Experience nature in its raw form.
And after having spent time experiencing nature, everyone can take a break and visit Worthington Junction, our 1/24 scale model garden railroad. It's fun for all.
